Cajun Shrimp

Serve these spicy, buttery shrimps as an appetizer with a squeeze of fresh lemon and baguette bread. Or serve as a main course over rice. Either way is fantastic!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
8 Tablespoons butter
8-10 fresh garlic cloves, minced
2 bay leaves
4 sprigs fresh thyme
1 lb. large raw shrimp, peeled and de-veined
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 Tablespoon sweet ground paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
2 Tablespoons dry sherry

Directions:

  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Heat olive oil, butter, garlic, bay leaves, and thyme in a large OVENPROOF skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook until butter melts and herbs and garlic are fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, toss cleaned raw shrimp with Worcestershire sauce, salt, paprika, and cayenne until evenly coated.
  5. Add seasoned shrimps to hot skillet with butter mixture.
  6. Add sherry to skillet and stir to combine.
  7. Transfer skillet to oven.
  8. Bake until shrimps turn pink and curl, about 8-10 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and transfer to a serving dish.
