Serve these spicy, buttery shrimps as an appetizer with a squeeze of fresh lemon and baguette bread. Or serve as a main course over rice. Either way is fantastic!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
8 Tablespoons butter
8-10 fresh garlic cloves, minced
2 bay leaves
4 sprigs fresh thyme
1 lb. large raw shrimp, peeled and de-veined
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 Tablespoon sweet ground paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
2 Tablespoons dry sherry
Directions:
- Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Heat olive oil, butter, garlic, bay leaves, and thyme in a large OVENPROOF skillet over medium heat.
- Cook until butter melts and herbs and garlic are fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, toss cleaned raw shrimp with Worcestershire sauce, salt, paprika, and cayenne until evenly coated.
- Add seasoned shrimps to hot skillet with butter mixture.
- Add sherry to skillet and stir to combine.
- Transfer skillet to oven.
- Bake until shrimps turn pink and curl, about 8-10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and transfer to a serving dish.
