Waste not, want not–right?? So the next time your fruit is about to go bad, try this tip to save it. Wash, peel (if necessary), and cut the fruit into bite size pieces. Then spread the pieces onto a cookie sheet lined with tin foil. Put the tray of fruit into your freezer for at least 2 hours. Once frozen, remove the fruit pieces from tin foil and store in a zip lock bag. Return the bag of fruit to freezer for future use. Viola! Flash frozen fruit ready for any recipe. I’ve successfully tried this tip with berries, bananas, peaches, pineapple and mango.
