Tip: Eat Your Colors

Share

An easy (and fun!) way to eat fresh, nutrient rich foods is to load up your plate with as many bright colors as you can. Like deep green spinach, broccoli and asparagus. Bright red strawberries, bell peppers and tomatoes.  Blueberries, orange carrots, purple grapes…you get the idea. Some easy ways to do this–serve a fresh fruit salad with breakfast, a spinach and tomato salad with lunch, and sauteed mixed fresh veggies with dinner (as shown in pic). The more color on your plate the better! So this summer, shop for fresh colorful produce and enjoy.
